Tax Rebate Check has finally arrived...

Now, that our checks has arrived, it was direct deposited, we can begin spending it, right? 

Not! We actually paid our credit cards off with it. Well, I did mostly. My dear husband decided to simply put all his money into his account. 

Boy! I feel a lot happier that I was able to pay of most of my debts. At least I could buy the things that I was putting off for so long. I wanted to buy a newer computer or buy lots of books again. I love to read.

Or may be just wait for something special that I really feel like spending my money to :)

 

Tax Time...

This year we are not filling as a married couple. Instead we chose to file separate.  We were only married last October. Basically, that's only three months in the year of 2007. Though, we have been cohabiting for two years before we got married, I still think that we get most of our tax rebate if we file separate this year. Well, I know this because I did the numbers crunching and filling separate is most ideal for the time being. 


Yeah, last filling date is the 15th of this month. I finished preparing our taxes since February. We waited to mail it in simply because we wanted to discuss further about our tax refund/rebate. We are not actually that late, its only the first week of April.

He agreed with me and just now mailed the separate income tax I prepared. Yay!!! 

It's decided

I am not going to start my home-based business. I did not know that I will have to put in full-time hours into starting my business on top of my full-time job.

However, I am doing of some invitation design to my closed friends and family. I did not charge them for doing it but they give me some money anyways. Who am I to not accept it.

I still kept the invitations I made for future... I don't know... portfolio, perhaps.

Belated- FIrst lunar new year

Well, February 7th was the first full moon of the year. The year of the Rat; the very same symbolic animal I was born in.

 

The symbol of the rat holds true and everything that  it says about the people born on the year of the "rat" is also true. I can certainly attest to this. Well, I will not entirely disclose all that is about me. I have to protect my privacy and identity over the internet, however other people are so keen on disclosure about themselves to strangers. Just take my work for it.

so I've decided...

I finally decided to create my very first home based business. It is basically going to be more of a invitation and some paper design, printing and productions.

I am still building my portfolio and my dot com domain. I have so many things on my plate right now that I feel overwhelmed.

But I have to stay focus and motivated, so no I am reading anything about small business and the IRS. I did not realize that it's going to be a very tedious endeavor and overtaking. I do have a full time job other than this new endeavor that I am undertaking. I just don't know how I would manage to do this. But like what I have said stay focus.

so far, I am able to create my own design logo. I like this one but I may need to change this think of something unique. I still need to research world wide wed to make sure that the name is not take and or owned. I really don't need to have any issue regarding the name or log of my soon sort of home-based business.

Be-Lated Happy V-day

So, it is now 15th of February. I totally missed everything that I planned for my husband. It suck that I could not do something special for him at all.


But my husband did something special for me on the day of v-day. He cooked me breakfast; he specially wake up early, of which he does not do often except on the day that he needs to go to work very early.
He made me pan cake and a pan cake egg. It was very cute of him to wake so early and cook me breakfast. When I got home from work, which was late by the way, he called me and said "make sure that take the food out from the microwave oven, and place it in the ref." because he forgot his food that morning.
So, when I open the microwave, I saw my pan cake egg and pancake. I yelled of course and heard him laughing very on the phone and said to me "Happy valentines day." That was so sweet of him to do for me. So, I planned on ordering out and have it prepared by the time he come home.


But none of my plan worked because I was very tired from work and did not even hear the alarm going off. I did not even hear my husband came home, until he came and kissed me and said "hello and happy valentines again." I slept through until midnight. So, surprising him for a special dinner would not do any more. Because he knew that I would make up for the missed special day.


So, now I am planning something different for his birthday. I am thinking myriad of special things to plan and give him something special.

Happy New Year

It's 2008. wow..... time fly by so fast when your so busy with almost anything about nothing. If I do a recap about the year 2007, I would say there has been little changes since. Perhaps, since the beginning of 2007 there has been changes in minute amount to notice. We simply don't pay attention to the changes, if any, at all.

We, as a collective society have a tendency to only pay attention to any changes that only pertain to us; one may say that nothing really has change but only the year. other may disagree. Change is neither good nor bad. And yet, I can't fully say that I like changes if it's bad changes.

There is only one thing I am so sure about, that changes are meant to be. Whether, we like it or not.
