Save the Date

I actually like this one better than my previous version. I will put the link once I figure it out. He hehe.

I made this std using MS Publisher, I used the post card template and simply went wild from there on. I have made a test print out and I used the fine linen textured paper by SouthWorth, I like the feel and look of the paper, plus it look good when I made my first print test. To see what my previous STD looked like click on the word previous STD and it should take you there. Let me know what you think.

The Bling

14-k White Gold 1-2/5-ct TW Diamond Drop Earrings: from over stock.com for nearly a thousand dollars. I am still looking around for something I could afford.

after all diamonds are girls best friend.
This gorgeous earrings at Costco it cost $1,999.99 it has 1.85 cwt. Diamond in 18kt white gold. I would rather spend this much for what I could say as a liquid investment. Many brides spends as much for their wedding dress that they could only wear let say, at least 3-4 hours then change to something different. I know it is all about the bride that day, but if one bride is smart with money, invest in something tangible that will last....

Skin Care

Just moments ago I had my first make up class. Well, I dare say that I need correct guidance in the manner of make up application. Little that I know, now that I am getting older and wiser that I do need to pay attention to my self and how I care for my skin. Not all are blessed with perfect and young looking skin forever.
My advise to you all bloggers is that take good care of your skin. As you would take care of your family. It is not vanity or selfishness to take care of your self. Remember, those woman that we watch on TV, don't we all wish that we look like that. Well, actually, we could simply look somewhat like those on TV by simply applying little make up and taking care of our skin.
Hmmm, I am becoming like that very woman that I hated, may be because I was envious of her ability to keep her self nice and pretty. Well, I refuse to get old looking like a hag. So, I am now learning to become what I always wanted to be. To age graciously and elegantly.
Well, ladies don't take me wrong here, what I am trying to say it that dress sensibly and put on a make sensibly and you'll see what I mean.

Seating arrangement

And this is the way of my culture. Filipino culture way of seating arrangement during a wedding ceremony. (Could not recall where i got this snip it from)

Here is the Jewish ceremony seating plan. I have seen many Jewish wedding on TV but never been to one.
So I found this illustration of a christian wedding a special way to direct your guest to where to sit to witness your wedding ceremony.

Memory candle

I bought this entire set up to commemorate my father during ceremony.
if you purchase a memory candle from the store it will cost you about $30. So far, I got the candle on sale at Target for $9 it has a fragrance to it, the crystal-lead candle is $7 from Marshall's. the base of the candle is $0.99 from ikea. I got a total price of $16.99.
I am planning to put a ribbon around the candle and for the base I will scatter a rose petals and I will place the cross in a little elevation and cover it with one of a nice silk or vintage handkerchief to cover a brick or block to give rise.
I am thinking of making a small square tag and place it on a cross. and it would say "In memory of my father A----- B------ whose spirit is here with us to celebrate the joyous day of matrimony of his daughter B----- B---- to C---- V------ III. " Or I could put a small nice picture frame.
I will put the final look on my blog soon...

The New and Updated Save the Date

I was trying to upload the save the date template I could not do it with this blog site. So, I will have to find another site to upload it to. In the meantime if you want the template I could email it to you. Simply write a comment with your email address and I will sent it over.

Mr Wedding Cove wanted to have the Chapel and Married bigger. So, I did as he asked (compromising already, we're not even married yet :) )
Oh, yeah... he is particular about having his full name publish on the net. So, there is that black out on our names there.

My color scheme

This the color scheme/motif that I will have. Champagne, espresso/or chocolate, rose, silver, black, sage.
How did I do this....
First go on the internet fabric store, or any of the bridal website that offers an online preview of their color swatches.
Once you found your color, right click on it and save it.
Once you have all your color at hand then open your word and import or insert,
Now, this can be a bit tricky but it is easy I assure.,
Once you have your photo inserted right click on it and choose the format Picture and then,
Click on lay out then click on in front of text, (a pic with a dog). By doing this you would be able to move the picture around.
Then click View and click on select all,
Open your paint brush, and paste it there, you old re size it too. If you have problem doing it, I will be more happy to do it for you free of charge.
Simply email me borceb@gmail.com and send me your files.

Color of ribbons

I practically have brown, sage (or green), red, some silver, white and cream or champagne color in my wedding color wheel. I don't know how to make color wheel yet but once I figure it out I will post it in my do it your self section.
I have been actually been busy on line looking for an ideas, the most helpful sit so far is looking into these knotties bio. It gives me a lot of ideas.

I have almost all the same ribbons as this lady has. (pardon me, I could recall were I got the pics)

The idea for hair ang make up

This is the original pictures where I got the idea for my own hair and make up trial. The make up did not come out as I wanted it to be but I will still have to find another make up artist and hair stylist.

Hair and Make Up Trials

The Hair Trial On the ninth month of my wedding planning. I went and got a hair and make up trial. On the day I had my hair trial I have a party to attend and would really test their ability.
Pros: I like the style and the hairstylist really capture what I want. But did not do a good job in making my hair secure.
Cons: I was late to my appointment and in a hurry. So, still they did not do a good job.

I deleted the photo

So, the make up artist is okay.
Pros: I like the make up, she uses MAC (do all make up artist uses MAC?)
She somewhat listen to what I wanted but,
Cons: Way to much make up and does not complement me look at all. She as a professional did not offer professional advice on what would look and complement my skin and structure.
Friend of mine said, way to much rouge.
Make up did not last very long.

this how it should look like

This is the dress that I am going to wear. I love this.
The Tux for the guys. From the left Groom will wear; the right the GM will wear.
The dress is by Maggie Sottero, style name is Suzane
So far, this is how exactly the gown looks like. I just tried it on but it is way to long and big for me. I can't see it my self so, when I come down to fresno I will let you guys know. I will bring it with me. This is not going to be my Wedding Dress.
I brought it to the dress maker for estimate how much the alteration would cost. I was given a quote for $500. I don't think it is worth it to ruin the dress for that. So, this one is up for sale for $100. Size 4-6, lace back.

Yet another gown

These two gowns appealed to me then. Of course I did not think of the price back then because I was simply dreaming about it.
The one on the right is simple classy, and would really look nice on me I think. I don't have much the breast .
the one to the left is princess like. I don't like to much ball gown-ish type. But this one is simple and elegant.

This is what the dress should look like I think

So, I thought I would save more by buying this dress that is already been pre-made for someone else's measurements. I went to the alteration shop and I got an estimate to alter it to fit my size; found out that it will cost more than the original cost of the dress. So, I have vetoed the dress and will donate it instead. I lost $100 for this, meaning I can't have any shopping spree until I get my self of this $100 hole.

I got the dress on eBay. I think its a good deal. I think someone had it made to look like this one but I could not complain. I am saving a lot and still will look nice and somewhat not cheap either. I care about the looks too. But most importantly I care about the cost.

All about the dress

There are many dress that are so expensive looking but the details were not actually accentuated during the big day, because everyone is simply elated for the couple. Trust me on this one I have been to many weddings and I could not totally recall every detail of the dress, except of that one particular RED dress. It was so nice that I was even thinking of wearing a RED dress myself on my wedding day. But I have to be unique.

Wedding dress is very costly. The range from simple $500 to as high as $6ooo dollars. Now, I am not rich but I opt to buy a dress on eBay. Which, is not to bad and not to cheap looking either.
Now, I must think of alteration fee. Over all, my budget for the dress including alteration is well under-budget.

The dress competition

I simply love this dress, don't know the designer and how much this cost.

these 2 dresses are bridesmaids dress gown. I like them because of the sensible price.

This is yet another gown of the same designer. Looks simple and elegant. This gown could also pass for a wedding dress if you are doing a destination wedding. I could not remember how much this cost but I am sure it is less than $300.

I am a bride on a very tight budget. So, now I must think about the gown. First I have this gown that I fell in love because of its price. You can't blame a girl simply thinking about the $$$. The price of this gown is $157. You can see this through netbirde.com. I don't endorse this site but I am simply wanted to help out to direct you there.

Funny, Humorous Cake topper

This is the cake topper that I like. Funny thing is that women of today is so empowered that we are the one doing this to guys. Instead of the other way around. We are now in control.....

This one is called the reluctant groom. I could not remember where I got this one. I was cleaning my files and found this in one of my save files from long time ago.

this cake topper is giving me an idea how to create a story about it. I got it!!!!!!!! I will post it on my next blog. I will stop here for now then

this one is called the stiff. funny ha..ha...
This one is the best it seem like the guy is somewhat exhausted and yet still wanting to get away. So, it seem that the guy is not really want to get hitch yet.

I can't seem to get this humor bride carrying groom and calling for help?
This one is so funny, but the humor is not to my liking though. Nonetheless it is funny.

Idea for cake topper that I really like. I like this one it so humorous and I like the way the bride is so nonchalantly smiling back at the groom trying to escape.
